Their Stories

At Exodus Chattanooga, restoration is not theoretical, it is deeply personal. Every story represents a life touched by grace, truth, accountability, and the love of Jesus Christ along a path toward healing and stability. These are not stories of perfection, but of progress, surrender, and real transformation. Behind each testimony is someone who chose to take the next step, from crisis to connection, from brokenness to healing, and from mere survival to renewed hope.

How it all Started

On Easter Sunday in 2014, the Lord spoke to Theresa to "Go out and bring them in. "Discover how a divine call to Theresa's heart launched this ministry, and explore the powerful ways it continues to transform the lives of others.

Meet Megan

After years of addiction and repeated jail stays, she surrendered her life to Jesus in 2022 while awaiting sentencing and began pursuing true freedom through Scripture and Celebrate Recovery. Although she experienced a relapse and faced the possibility of prison, she fully surrendered to God, grew in faith, and chose to trust Him at her sentencing hearing, where she was granted Recovery Court instead of a seven-year sentence. With support from her church and Exodus Chattanooga, she rebuilt her life, securing sober living, advancing into management at Chick-fil-A, regaining her driver's license, and obtaining her own home. Today, she walks in freedom, stability, and a peace only Jesus could give.
