Our Process

At Exodus Chattanooga, we believe true transformation happens when hope is restored, lives are rebuilt, and Christ is at the center. Our process is designed to walk alongside individuals who are ready to pursue healing, accountability, and a new way forward—while being surrounded by grace, structure, and community. This is not a quick fix. It is a pathway of restoration, rooted in discipleship, personal responsibility, and the love of Jesus.

Who This Program Is For?

Our program serves individuals who are experiencing homelessness or housing instability and are seeking a Christ-centered path toward recovery, stability, and independence.

We especially serve:

• Men and women in recovery

• Veterans

• Widows

• Individuals rebuilding their lives after hardship

We recognize that everyone’s journey is different. Entry into our program is based on readiness, safety, and a willingness to participate fully in the process.

Program Expectations

(Built on Grace, Accountability, and Safety)

To ensure a healthy, supportive environment for everyone involved, participants are asked to meet the following expectations:

•  Commitment to a Christ-centered recovery process

•  Willingness to participate in discipleship and accountability

•  Attendance at recovery support meetings (such as Celebrate

   Recovery)

•  Commitment to sobriety and random drug testing

•  Employment, job readiness, or active pursuit of work (as able)

•  Background screening for safety and program integrity

•  Respect for program guidelines and community standards

These expectations are not meant to exclude—but to protect the individual, the community, and the integrity of the program.

How the Process Works

Step 1: Connection & Referral
Individuals may be referred through churches, community partners, outreach efforts, or personal inquiry.

Step 2: Assessment & Discernment
We prayerfully assess readiness, needs, and fit for the program to ensure the best possible outcome for all involved.

Step 3: Recovery & Discipleship Pathway
Participants engage in recovery support, discipleship, accountability, and practical life-building steps.

Step 4: Stability & Forward Movement
As individuals grow in consistency and responsibility, we work toward pathways that support:

•  Employment stability

•  Healthy relationships

•  Spiritual growth

•  Long-term housing solutions

Our Heart Behind the Process

We believe:

•  People are not projects—they are beloved by God

•  Healing takes time, truth, and grace

•   Structure creates safety

•  Accountability leads to freedom

•  Restoration is possible through Jesus Christ

Our goal is not simply to help someone survive—but to help them step into a restored, stable, and hope-filled future.
