Core Values

Christ-centered - All staff and volunteers share a calling to the mission of Exodus Chattanooga, approaching their work as ministry. We seek to reflect Christ in all we do, bringing reconciliation, and loving and serving individuals and families with the love of Christ. Without discrimination or prejudice, we strive daily to demonstrate His love through action and service.

Compassionate – We serve from a compassionate, trauma-informed perspective that guides our policies, decisions, and interactions. Staff and volunteers are committed to treating every individual with dignity, respect, and understanding.

Holistic – We care for the whole person and the entire family. Our faith-based, holistic approach recognizes that each area of life impacts overall well-being, and we tailor our support to meet the unique needs of those we serve.

Empowering –  We prioritize listening to our participants, giving them a voice, and walking alongside them. Through advocacy, encouragement, and practical tools, we empower individuals and families to pursue lasting freedom, restoration, and reconciliation in their lives.

Excellence – We are committed to a culture of excellence in all we do. Our work is guided by innovation and evidence-based best practices. Through ongoing training and development, we equip our staff and volunteers to serve effectively and create meaningful opportunities for the community to engage in this life-changing mission.

Stewardship – We recognize that all we have, our time, resources, and abilities, belongs to God. By practicing faithful stewardship, we honor Him and help others discover purpose, freedom, and the fullness of His blessings.

Relational We believe in the power of relationships and community. Those we serve are not just clients, they are family. We are committed to fostering lasting connections and a sense of belonging. Through partnerships like the Exodus Coalition of Churches, we help build supportive communities that reflect Christ’s love and promote restoration and reconciliation.
