Good News: Love is not canceled

It seems like everywhere we look today there is loss, pain, uncertainty, and hopelessness. With no end in sight, it is easy to become overwhelmed by the darkness that seems to be all around.  There is so much healing to be done in our land, and many are asking, "what can we do?"

Our role as Christians does not change when the world is in chaos. Romans 12:9-13 says, "Let love be genuine. Abhor what is evil; hold fast to what is good. Love one another with brotherly affection. Outdo one another in showing honor. Do not be slothful in zeal, be fervent in spirit, serve the Lord. Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer. Contribute to the needs of the saints and seek to show hospitality."

We are called to love those around us and to serve the Lord, and that is not dependent on the circumstances around us. Now, more than ever, the world needs to see the Hope that Christ brings. We need to be that light in the darkness, that kind word or gesture, that person who will stand up to injustice and be a voice for those without one. The world is hurting, but we know the One who heals and restores, so let us actively pursue a life that reflects His love to those around us.

At Exodus, we see lives that have been broken due hurts, hang-up and habits, but through the love of Jesus, lives are being healed, restored and made new. Even though the world is on "pause", the need for Exodus has not stopped, and neither has our need for YOU!  We ask that you would lift up our Exodus families in prayer, and help us by providing financial support for those in need during these times of uncertainty.  For more information on how you can be a part of the life changing work of Exodus Chattanooga, click HERE.
